Matthew Holmes has more than 10 years of experience representing clients ranging from solo inventors through Silicon Valley startup companies and mid-size tech companies to Fortune 100 companies. His practice focuses on strategic patent portfolio development, international and domestic patent preparation and prosecution, due diligence, patent monetization, and general patent counseling.

His experience includes mechanical, electromechanical, electrical, and computer technologies in the fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML), large language models (LLM), image processing, computer vision, data processing, data storage, social networks, consumer electronics, computer software, and robotics, among others.

Matt’s clients value his ability to dig into their technology, quickly grasp key concepts, and efficiently file strategic patents for them. He regularly participates in the patent committee review meetings of several of his clients to help them identify ideas to be patented.

He joined Patent Law Works out of law school where he served as a judicial intern for Chief Justice Christine Durham of the Utah State Supreme Court in addition to being a member of the Extra Muros International Law Journal and Global Justice Think Tank.
